    Job Title: CNC Mill Machinist

    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled CNC Mill Machinist with a minimum of 2 years of experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to conduct their own set-ups and runs on the machine, with a strong understanding of height gauges, calipers, micrometers, and blueprint interpretation. Proficiency in utilizing Fanuc Controls directly at the machine is crucial, as this position demands a professional who can immediately contribute with minimal guidance.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform set-ups and runs on CNC mill machines independently.

    + Utilize height gauges, calipers, micrometers for precise measurements.

    + Read and interpret blueprints accurately.

    + Operate machines equipped with Fanuc Controls efficiently.

    + Manage and operate a two-machine cell.

    + Maintain and use personal tools, including calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, edge finders, wrenches, dead blow hammer, and Allen wrenches.

    Essential Skills

    + Minimum 2 years of experience as a CNC Mill Machinist.

    + Proficiency in Fanuc Controls.

    + Experience with 3 Axis Mill and Mill Turn lathe machines.

    + Ability to perform accurate machine set-ups.

    + Knowledge of G Codes and M Codes.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with Haas, Kia, and Doosan machines.

    + Experience in Mill Turn operations.

    + Capability to provide own tools for operations.

    Work Environment

     

    This role is situated in a small, family-oriented machine shop with approximately 50 employees. Our facility operates from 7am to 3:30pm with opportunities for overtime and Saturday hours from 7am to noon. The dress code requires jeans, T-shirts, and steel-toed shoes. Our company is a major supplier for leading firms, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wichita, Kansas.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $25.00/hr.
