    CNC Lathe Machinist

    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Machinist to join our precision manufacturing team. As part of this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC lathes to produce high-quality components in accordance with engineering drawings and specifications.

    Responsibilities

    + Set up and operate CNC lathes to machine parts to exact specifications.

    + Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions.

    + Select appropriate tooling and fixtures for each job.

    + Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as needed to maintain quality and efficiency.

    + Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.

    + Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues to minimize downtime.

    + Maintain accurate production and inspection records.

    + Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines and work area.

    + Follow all safety and quality protocols.

    Essential Skills

    + Comfortable setting up a dual spindle CNC lathe with a tolerance of +/- 2/100ths.

    + Ability to use Fanuc controls to enter CAD CAM.

    + Experience with hardened metals such as Inconel and Titanium.

    + Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and GD&T.

    + Familiarity with G-code and CNC programming.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in machining preferred.

    + 2-5 years of experience operating CNC lathes in a manufacturing environment.

    + Experience with multi-axis lathes or live tooling is preferred.

    + Aerospace, defense, or medical device manufacturing.

    + Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices.

    + Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.

    + Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $40.00/hr.
