Job Title: Powder Coating Technician

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Powder Coating Technician to join our team. This role requires a professional with a strong understanding of powder coating and painting principles, responsible for applying powder coatings using specialized equipment.

Responsibilities

+ Operate and maintain powder coating machinery to ensure correct application of powder.

+ Mix powder and work with different coats and sprays.

+ Understand and manage temperature settings when working on various metals and materials.

+ Utilize knowledge of the powder coating gun for accurate application.

+ Perform daily duties in the booth for the entirety of the shift, ensuring quality and precision.

Essential Skills

+ Minimum of 2 years of experience in powder coating or painting.

+ General knowledge of powder coating and painting principles.

+ Adequate trigger time experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in automotive and construction painting.

+ Proven reliability and good attitude.

+ Strong attention to detail and quality assurance skills.

Work Environment

This position is based in a shop located in El Cajon. The shift starts at 5 am and may include weekends. The role requires working in a powder coating booth for the duration of the shift. Dress code is shop appropriate, focusing on safety and practicality.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of El Cajon, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $28.00/hr.
