Job Title: General Labor/Carpenter - Up to $27/hr

Job Description

This position involves performing routine woodworking tasks such as building doghouses and other containments, as well as measuring and cutting wood. You will be responsible for moving materials, tools, and equipment, cleaning equipment, vehicles, machinery, and work areas, and operating various types of tools including pneumatic, electric, and hand tools. Additional duties may be required by the supervisor to ensure job completion in a safe and timely manner.

Responsibilities

+ Build doghouses and other wooden containments.

+ Measure and cut wood accurately.

+ Move materials, tools, and equipment efficiently.

+ Clean equipment, vehicles, machinery, and work areas.

+ Operate various types of tools, including pneumatic, electric, and hand tools.

+ Perform additional duties as necessary for job completion.

+ Follow directions correctly and promptly.

Essential Skills

+ Experience in general labor, particularly in shipyard settings.

+ Proficiency with hand tools and power tools.

+ Ability to clean and maintain work areas effectively.

+ Capability to load and move materials and equipment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Compliance with company, federal, state, and local safety and environmental regulations.

+ Ability to accurately operate, clean, and maintain all assigned equipment.

+ Proper storage of equipment.

+ Willingness to work overtime or shift work as required.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $27.00/hr.
