    Job Title: Mix Room Operator

    Job Description

    In the position of Mix Room Operator, individuals will engage in the comprehensive operations of the Mix Room, ensuring adherence to recipe blending instructions and maintaining inventory. This role is dynamic, with additional responsibilities incorporated as training advances and as deemed necessary by management.

    Responsibilities

    + Follow recipe blending instructions to accurately issue materials by lot and physically mix/blend recipes/batches.

    + Maintain accurate inventory lots and storage conditions for ingredients.

    + Operate Refractometer and record accurate brix. Conduct organoleptic testing on every batch.

    + Use WMS to Pick and Stage Batches by FIFO and notify management of any discrepancies.

    + Complete CIP circuits including chemical checks and hand washing, adhering to all steps of SSOP’s.

    + Operate all Mix & Blending equipment safely according to SOPs, including forklift operations.

    + Report any mechanical issues to the Mix Room Manager or Maintenance Staff.

    + Adhere to Company Food Safety, Food Quality, GMP, and HACCP rules and requirements.

    Essential Skills

    + 6+ months of machine operation experience in a GMP environment preferred.

    + Ability to lift 50+ lbs on occasion.

    + Capability to consistently bend, twist, and crouch.

    + Proficient in oral, written, and reading communication skills.

    + Ability to learn how to drive a forklift.

    + Knowledge of operating systems including WMS, Red Zone, DEACON, and others.

    Work Environment

     

    Work in a GMP regulated environment within a clean and well-maintained 135,000 sq. ft. facility located in Hopkins. The facility is temperature controlled and offers multiple shifts: 1st Shift from 5am - 1:30pm Monday-Friday, 2nd Shift from 1pm - 9:30pm Monday-Friday with a $2/hr shift differential, and 3rd Shift from 9pm - 5:30am Sunday-Thursday with a $4/hr shift differential.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00/hr.
