    Job Title: Diesel Technician

    Job Description

    Join our team as a Diesel Technician, where you will be responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing electrical and mechanical tractor issues. You will perform preventative maintenance on a fleet of tractors, including tasks such as lube, filters, tire inspections, oil changes, and wheel seal replacements. Your expertise will be needed for engine work, including replacing alternators, starters, drive cams, brakes, springs, differentiators, alignment, S-Cams, and U-Joints. Additionally, you will conduct multipoint inspections in compliance with FMCSA regulations, using a laptop to connect to engines for troubleshooting and diagnosis. You will track your work through our internal Transman (TMT) software.

    Responsibilities

    + Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical and mechanical tractor issues.

    + Perform preventative maintenance on fleet of tractors including lube, filters, tire inspections, oil changes, and wheel seals.

    + Conduct engine work such as replacing alternators, starters, drive cams, brakes, springs, differentiators, alignment, S-Cams, and U-Joints.

    + Perform multipoint inspections per FMCSA regulations.

    + Use laptop for engine troubleshooting and diagnosis.

    + Track work using internal Transman (TMT) software.

    Essential Skills

    + 4-7 years of Diesel Technician experience.

    + Certified Diesel Technician (Freightliner, Volvo, International, or Cummins).

    + Expertise in diesel troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, diesel engine repair, hydraulics, electrical systems, and mechanical diagnosis.

    + Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Own tools required.

    + Preferred CDL License.

    + Experience with EV or electric power systems.

    + Knowledge of 24-volt Volvo systems.

    Work Environment

     

    Work in a brand new facility with a two-bay shop offering a first shift schedule from 7:30 am to 4 pm. Our third-party logistics provider offers supply chain solutions across North America, ensuring a stable and supportive work atmosphere.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract position based out of New Haven, Indiana.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $34.00/hr.

    Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job
