The Jefferson Parish Human Services Authority (JPHSA) Behavioral Health Community Services (BHCS) division provides a continuum of community-based behavioral health and support programs to assist individuals in their recovery from mental illness and/or addictive disorders. The Social Service Counselor 4-A in this position (Housing Service Coordination Supervisor) works in the BHCS division under the direction of the Assistant Division Director. This individual models wellness, hope, resiliency, and recovery to Jefferson Parish residents receiving services through JPHSA.

Minimum Qualifications
Six years of social services experience; OR
Six years of full-time experience in any field plus three years of social services experience; OR
A bachelor's degree plus three years of social services experience; OR
An advanced degree in a social sciences field plus two years of social services experience.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.
NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENT:
Positions that provide addictive disorder counseling or prevention services will require certification or eligibility for certification issued by the Addictive Disorder Regulatory Authority (ADRA), or its successor.

Job Duties and Other Information
As a Housing Service Coordinator Supervisor you will,
+ Manages and monitors the administrative functions of the Housing Service Coordination Program
+ Ensures staff conducts weekly team meetings and leads meetings
+ Ensures staff contacts referrals in the designated timeframe
+ Ensures every individual has a case plan and staffing is geared towards the case plan
+ Ensures every individual is staffed before discharge
+ Ensures program contractors submit weekly schedules
+ Ensures staff maintains accurate, thorough, and timely documentation in the electronic health record
+ Provides training in caseload principles and practices and ensures compliance with federal and state regulations and agency policy and procedures
+ Ensures all services for program participants are based on an assessment of needs and other pertinent data
+ Evaluates and monitors services and redirects them when indicated
+ Manages program tracking spreadsheet, inclusive of ensuring all follow ups are made at appropriate timelines
+ Completes monthly and quarterly reports for assigned programs
+ Monitors and oversees peer contractors under the direction of Assistant Division Director
+ Provides crisis intervention services to adults accessing the Eunoia Center, with the goal of symptom reduction and restoration to a previous level of functioning
+ Collaborates and communicates with all program staff to ensure the appropriateness of interventions and safety for each individual
+ Assists staff in maintaining an environment that supports a recovery-focused approach
+ Provides Homeless Outreach hotline coverage via answering calls and reaching out to referred individuals for initial contact
Position-Specific Details:
Appointment Type: Probational, Promotional, or Job Appointment
Work Schedule: Flexible work hours that may be outside of the traditional 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday-Friday, dependent on job duties.
Compensation: The salary offered will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
