    Job Title: General Production Worker

    Job Description

    Join our team as a General Production Worker, where you'll be responsible for assembling bunker walls using saws, drills, and tape measures to precise specifications. This role requires the ability to lift over 50 pounds consistently and demands a keen attention to detail for conducting quality checks and understanding blueprints. You will be tasked with assembling fabricated parts to complete bunker walls efficiently.

    Responsibilities

    + Assemble bunker walls by fitting together parts like a puzzle.

    + Utilize saws, drills, and tape measures to meet specific requirements.

    + Consistently lift and move items weighing over 50 pounds.

    + Conduct quality checks to ensure precision and accuracy.

    + Interpret and understand blueprints for assembly processes.

    Essential Skills

    + General production and labor skills.

    + Experience in assembly and steel manufacturing.

    + Proficiency in blueprint reading and troubleshooting.

    + Competence in using hand tools and power tools.

    + Machine operating skills, including forklift operation.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + High attention to detail and reliability.

    + Ability to measure accurately using a tape measure (1/16th).

    + Construction or general labor experience in assembly is advantageous.

    Work Environment

     

    Work on the 1st shift from 6am to 4:30pm or the 2nd shift from 4:30pm to 3am, Monday through Thursday. Dress code includes jeans, steel toe boots, and work-appropriate shirts. Please note that the facility is not temperature controlled.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Des Moines, Iowa.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $21.26 - $22.26/hr.
