    Job Title: Service Technician

    Job Description

    As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and diagnosing issues on various types of heavy equipment and executing necessary repairs. Your role will involve providing end-user customers with a prompt and efficient service experience, which may require overtime. Work will be divided between the Aspen shop and field locations, accessed via a company-supplied truck, and may require occasional (not common) overnight travel. You will also be expected to maintain and update your knowledge and skills by attending factory training courses. This position is based out of the Lee’s Summit facility.

    Responsibilities

    + Troubleshoot and diagnose problems on various pieces of equipment using knowledge of hydraulics and electronics repair.

    + Operate hand tools and equipment.

    + Initiate the ordering of necessary parts for repairs.

    + Complete required paperwork accurately.

    + Ensure all equipment functions are correct, checking for leaks and loose fittings.

    + Verify that tolerances and torque specifications are met.

    + Test pressures and record them on the test sheet.

    + Communicate with supervisors when encountering job-related problems.

    + Assist in scheduling daily tasks and promoting future work to meet utilization requirements.

    + Engage in direct customer interaction and communication.

    + Recommend procedural changes or job function modifications that could benefit the company.

    + Perform other job-related duties as assigned by management.

    Essential Skills

    + Strong mechanical aptitude with a technical understanding of hydraulics, electrical systems, and the primary functions of a broad range of equipment.

    + Knowledge of basic hydraulics and 12-volt electrical systems.

    + Ability to read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics.

    + Mechanical design and/or practical experience in hydraulics, structural or mechanical layout.

    + Technical college degree desired or successful completion of a structured on-the-job training program.

    + 2 years' experience in field service of heavy equipment.

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $94000.00/yr.
