    Job Description:

    Principal Level position Cypress or Playwright needed Rest Assured for API testing Strong DB querying (advanced joins needed) Need to have strong communications and strong confidence – as they will be the Sole SWET for their scrum team. Mobile / Desktop is not needed Cross browser skillset is needed.

    The Role

     

    You will be joining a team of engineers focused on engineering testing solutions for the Associate Digital Experience product area. You will apply your strong software development and test automation skills to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve Fidelity investments software solutions. You will also be supporting your team in adopting best practices to ensure we are building the right product, and we are building it right. Overall, you will have an appetite for learning, evaluating, and recommending new technologies. Software Engineers at Fidelity Investments pride themselves on their experience, leadership, and ability to establish relationships across teams.

     

    The Expertise and Skills You Bring

     

    + 8+ years experience with a Bachelor’s or 5+ years experience with a Master’s degree in Computer Science (or closely related field)

    + Top skills needed: Front end test automation, Playwright, JavaScript, Xray, chaos, Splunk, Datadog, node.js, Jenkins core

    + Experience in Java, JavaScript, SQL

    + Experience in test automation (Playwright, Cypress, Rest Assured, Test NG, Maven)

    + Experience with DevOps/Pipelines (Jenkins Core, LWC, Monorepo, etc.)

    + Experience with source control (GitHub, Stash (Bitbucket))

    + Cloud experience preferred - Amazon Web Services (AWS)

    + Focus on the deployment automation and orchestration

    + Assist with code branches, merges, builds pipelines, manage versioning etc.

    + Use your knowledge of testing and testability to influence better software design, promote proper software engineering and bug prevention strategies, testability and security

    + Actively participate in the development process through writing and maintain application features and automated tests including unit tests, component tests, integration tests, functional tests, performance tests, scenario tests and interoperability tests

    + Collaborate with team members on improving teams test coverage, release velocity and production health
