    DATTCO is currently searching for a temporary Operations Supervisor for our school bus team in Plainville, CT. The Operations Supervisor is a key role that coordinates and directs the daily activity of the terminal and is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of all drivers and vehicles.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    + Responsible for scheduling drivers and effectively dispatching fixed route service and charters

    + Assist drivers with directions and customer itineraries

    + Monitor attendance

    + Answer routine phone calls from the Board of Education, drivers and parents

    + Clerical, filing and reporting duties

    + Responsible for driver-s weekly payroll

    + Interview driver candidates for employment

    + Discipline drivers when necessary

    + Routing

    Position Requirements:

    + Commercial driver's license (CDL) with P and S endorsements

    + At least one-year transportation experience preferred

    + Strong oral and written communication skills

    + Work well in a fast-paced environment

    + Be flexible and a self-starter

    + Excellent problem-solving skills

    + Team player

    + Good customer and employee relations skills

    + Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Excel and computerized routing software
