Job Description Summary
The Associate Physician Recruiter will support the growth of Southeast Health (SEH) and Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine (ACOM) by assisting with the logistics of the recruitment process to result in the successful placement of physicians and advanced practice providers. The Associate Physician Recruiter will assist with the development and implementation of the full-cycle recruitment and staffing strategies with special emphasis on a well-qualified and diverse pool of candidates, timeliness, and cost effectiveness.
Job Description
Essential Functions
+ Builds talent networks to find qualified active and passive candidates;
+ Develop and maintain working knowledge of the health system and regional communities in order to assist with candidate inquiries.
+ Work with Director of Physician Recruitment (DPR) to profile positions and develop practice opportunity descriptions.
+ Meet with practice director and other team members to gather information to develop accurate practice profile to present to candidates during interview.
+ Informs providers on specialty positions detailing work hours/call requirements, practice description, procedures/skills needed, description of patient population, and compensation/benefits package.
+ Assist with maintaining applicant tracking system (ATS) for the purpose of capturing and tracking candidates, leads, and potential leads.
+ Review resumes for applicants/providers to assure they meet the job qualifications, prescreening applications, conducting reference checks, referring those candidates meeting the standards and professional qualities for strategic placement in a timely manner in collaboration with the DPR
+ Assist DPR by making cold calls to identified potential candidates.
+ Attend and represent SEH at off-site physician and provider recruiting events and conferences when needed
+ Conduct preliminary telephone interviews with advanced providers and select physician candidates with direction from the DPR
+ Prepare written, concise, informative summary of telephone interview to share with DPR and specialty leadership.
+ Assist with facilitation of the site visit interview which may include but is not limited to providing transportation to/from hospital or hotel, escorting providers to interview meetings, providing a facility tour for candidate.
+ Manage and coordinate the utilization of Locum Tenens physician and provider staffing needs
+ Assist with the processes and activities related to efficiently transitioning providers into practice including credentialing, onboarding, and orientation stages.
+ Attend Physician Recruitment, SHMG, and Medical Staff Services committee or departmental meetings as needed.
+ Maintain collaborative relationships with department managers/directors and other appropriate personnel in order to provide best-in-class organizational talent to support SEH’s strategic vision.
+ Continually develop and improves upon processes, procedures, policies, and techniques to recruit ideal providers. Maintain up to date knowledge and compliance with federal and state fair employment laws and guidelines.
+ Participate in other duties and responsibilities as assigned by DPR that do not compromise moral code of conduct or protocols set in place for patient or employee safety in order to recruit and retain providers.
+ Perform all functions according to established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements, as well as applicable professional standards.

Qualifications
Minimum Education Required
+ Bachelor’s degree
Minimum Education Preferred
+ Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Management, Marketing, Business Administration, or other Allied Health/Nursing field
Minimum Experience Required
+ Two (2) years’ of related recruiting experience with specific knowledge of the medical/physician community is required
Minimum Experience Preferred
+ Two (2) to four (4) years’ previous recruiting, healthcare, sales, or marketing background is preferred
Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
+ Current state issued driver’s license
+ Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge base of applicable information needed to accurately present each specialty position to providers
+ Ability to read, write, and speak English; proficiency in other languages a plus.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including superior grammar and proofreading skills.
+ Ability to communicate clearly and professionally to present practice opportunities in a positive manner.
+ Ability to make cold calls to select physician or advanced provider candidates.
+ Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage at all levels of the organization; demonstrate a professional and adaptable demeanor with internal and external clients, including administrators, physicians, peers, and support staff.
+ Exhibit a high energy level, and demonstrate the ability to work as a team, with flexibility in work habits to schedule and meet the needs of the medical staff.
+ Proven track record of exceptional customer service skills.
+ Ability to multi-task, planning and prioritizing a large volume of detail-oriented work in accordance with changing deadlines.
+ Ability to work with minimum supervision, set priorities, and follow through to accomplish results.
+ Strong computer technology skills including, but not limited to the Office Suite, virtual calling platforms, and
+ Ability to conduct Internet research in an efficient, productive manner.
+ Highly-motivated self-starter comfortable leading and managing in the listed areas of responsibility.
+ Flexibility to undertake business travel and work some weekends
