Position Overview:
Arranges all aspects of evaluation, treatment, and follow-up care of both inpatients and outpatients in the transplant department. Facilitates smooth and efficient department operations and communications. Prepares and maintains the clinical environment for safe and efficient clinical services. Will be assigned an area of specialty and be cross trained to perform the duties of all counterparts.

EDUCATION:
+ HS Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:
+ 1 year of recent relevant experience.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
+ Must possess basic knowledge of Epic EHR encounters and how they are used in documenting calls, plans, and authorizations.
+ Must possess knowledge of incoming and outgoing referral workflows within the Epic EHR with the ability to forward to the appropriate care team members.
+ Must have knowledge of communication functions within the Epic EHR differentiating encounter types such telephone, Visit, Update Clinical and orders only and forward appropriately.
+ Have the ability to perform triage calls knowing the proper resource to transfer patients to which could include clinical, ancillary and or financial resources.
+ Possess ability to register patients for visits and manage multiple line phones in a busy environment
+ Demonstrate the ability to manage in basket messages of different types, set reminders and find and use pools versus staff message.
+ Must possess knowledge of order types differentiating inpatient and outpatient modes and when to use.
+ Must have a working knowledge of Visage (imaging) and the ability to download and upload images.
+ Must possess knowledge of scanning into Epic and linking to order for results to show for clinicians
+ Must be proficient at entering labs into Epic using Enter/Edit results.
+ Must be able to perform EKG’s and assure they are linked to the proper order.
+ Demonstrate strong organization and follow up skills with patient reminders.
+ Must have knowledge of what a multi-disciplinary team is and be able to function as an effective team member.
+ Must have working knowledge of treatment authorization process.
+ Written and verbal English communication skills, customer service skills, math skills, basic computer skills.
+ Demonstrated ability to accurately receive and relay information over the telephone and in person, act calmly and decisively in emergency situations and exercise sound judgment.
+ Knowledge of Insurance authorization process.

Pay Range is $27.80 to $34.74 / hour
_The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs.
