TheDirector of Engineering will be responsible for working with Integrator clients, in coordination with our sales team, to prepare mechanical system designs, bill of materials, pricing and delivery information for Integrator sales opportunities. TheDirector of Engineering will work with other Duravant engineering teams to apply best equipment offering to our Integrator customers. Coordination of quotes and projects will be part of the daily responsibilities. TheDirector of Engineering will need to be knowledgeable of the diverse product offering of Duravant Material Handling companies and communicate this offering to our sales and integrators customers. In addition to system design, theDirector of Engineeringwill be responsible for estimating, schedule development, and assist in proposal creation.
POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, other duties as assigned:
+ Work with sales to evaluate client needs.
+ Reviewer of sales proposals
+ Assist in communicating application information to integrator clients
+ Partner with the Duravant Material Handling Operating Companies understand product capabilities.
+ Develop relationships with integrator partners.
+ Stay current on Duravant Material Handling products and applications.
+ Solicit quotes for equipment from other Duravant Material Handling Operating Companies
+ Develop Bill of Materials for pricing from Integrator provided drawings
+ Develop Pricing Review Document (PRD)
+ Schedules technical and price review meetings
+ Maintain quote schedule for timely delivery of proposal
+ Actively participates in process improvement
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
+ Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
+ 10+ years of material handling equipment application
+ Technical writing skills
+ Proficient in AutoCAD
+ Ability to interface with colleagues and customers at all levels, by virtue of professional competence, integrity and personal style.
+ Travel less than 25%
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

The incumbent must occasionally lift, push, or pull up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The position is an office-based position with regular visits to the manufacturing area.
