Job Summary:The Assistant High School Marching Band Director supports the Marching Band Director in all aspects of the high school marching band program, including rehearsals, performances, and competitions. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, musically skilled, and committed to fostering a positive and inclusive environment for student musicians.Responsibilities:
+ Assisting with instruction of marching band
+ organizing events and logistics;
+ supervising students during activities; and
+ helping maintain equipment and facilities.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
+ Patience, empathy, and the ability to motivate and inspire students
+ Understanding of the educational value of music and band activities.
+ Strong knowledge of various events and competition formats.
QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent
Travel Requirements
+ Travels to school district buildings and contests/festivals as required.
