This position will:
Provide primary sex offender treatment. Includes facilitating groups, maintaining accurate ICON entries, entry of session notes and participating in program reviews. Work towards/obtain sex offender treatment provide certification through the Iowa Board for the treatment of Sexual Abusers.
Complete case management services for offenders. Involvement in primary classifications, pre-parole classifications scheduling and attending program reviews, custody classifications, SVP and other assessments.
Also court progress reports, funeral trips and transfers.
Assist offenders in planning for transition from community.
Work with offenders to develop release plans, work with others including CBC staff and re-entry coordinators to provide re-entry services, direct offenders to appropriate resources in the community and complete all required paperwork including the sex offender registry.
Attend staff meetings and training as required.
Complete all E-learning.
Other duties as assigned.
Also:
Complete all assigned duties and special projects in a professional and timely manner. Provide assistance to security and support staff, as well as other treatment staff and services to offenders as necessary.
Take part in institutional committees to assist others in improving institutional operations.
Participate in training activities sponsored by the DOC or other organizations or agencies.
Comply with all policies and procedures applicable to assigned duties.
Treat all fellow employees, contractors, offenders, visitors and the public with due respect.
Minimum Qualification Requirements
Experience equal to four years of full-time work providing individual and group guidance and related counseling services in the areas of social, behavioral, educational, vocational and related program planning;
OR
an equivalent combination of experience and education substituting thirty semester hours (or the equivalent) of post high school coursework for each year of the required work experience to a maximum substitution of four years.

Additional Qualification Requirements
Designated positions in this job class require applicants to obtain the required Commercial Drivers License within a period of time as determined by the appointing authority at the time of hire.
