Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical professional to join our team in a role that bridges financial risk analysis and front-office business management. Serving as a critical support resource for our international product and business heads, this role demands strong quantitative skills and a sound awareness of the various markets in which we operate and their associated risks. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, self-starter with exposure to trading environments, a strong understanding of financial risks, and the ability to liaise across multiple functions including trading, risk, finance, compliance, and operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support the primary business management partners to the trading desk leads across Rates, Credit, Securities Financing, Structured Solutions and Equities.
• Assist with strategic and operational initiatives including budgeting, headcount planning, control enhancement, resource allocation, and new activity coordination
• Coordinate front-to-back infrastructure and system enhancements for trading desks.
• Drive governance and ensure adherence to internal controls, audit, and regulatory standards.
• Prepare and deliver performance reporting, KPIs, and strategic business updates to senior management.
• Facilitate interactions between front office, finance, legal, risk, and technology teams.
• Produce ad-hoc reports detailing positions, exposures, market commentary, and other updates as required
• Host weekly meetings with Trading heads and teams to ensure full communication of trading and risk environment
• Collaborate closely with International Business Management and Front office Portfolio Risk colleagues to ensure regional alignment and representation
• Conduct holistic and targeted portfolio analysis across regional businesses’ financial risks (market, credit and liquidity)
• Contribute to the design of analysis and reports for early identification of areas of portfolio risk and formulation of mitigation strategy / plans of action
• Define and maintain an orderly exit strategy for crisis management / orderly position wind down in extreme situations
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related field; FRM or CFA certification (or progress toward) preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in financial services, either in a trading role, trading support, or risk management.
• Strong quantitative skills with proficiency in Excel, Power BI/Tableau, and Python or VBA a plus.
• Solid understanding of market risk concepts, financial instruments, and trading strategies.
• Proven experience managing cross-functional initiatives and delivering results in a high-pressure environment.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Skills:
• Experience working in a global investment bank or trading environment.
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks (e.g., Basel III, FRTB, Volcker Rule).
• Knowledge of front-office risk systems and tools (e.g., Murex, Bloomberg, Calypso, RiskMetrics).
• Agile project management experience a plus.
• Familiarity with FX markets a plus
The typical base pay range for this role is between $175K - $210K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
