_Our client, a large chemical and ingredient distribution company that supports customers in_ _a wide range of industries such as paints, coatings, & lubricating fluids, is looking for an Operations Coordinator to join their team in L.A County, CA._
**Location:** L.A County, CA
**Pay rate:** $26/ hr.
**Job type:** 6-month contract
Position Summary:
This safety-sensitive position requires a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to provide administrative and laboratory support within our department. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting SAP transactions related to inventory control and order processing, along with strong communication skills and familiarity with laboratory operations and safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Support SAP transactions involving inventory control and order processing.
+ Provide comprehensive administrative assistance, including word processing, filing, faxing, answering phones, receiving and directing visitors, scheduling, financial record keeping, coordinating meetings and conferences, obtaining supplies, and sorting/distributing mail.
+ Maintain strong communication and organizational skills to efficiently manage tasks and departmental needs.
+ Apply standard laboratory techniques and safety procedures in daily operations.
+ Procure, label, route, and track laboratory specimens.
+ Perform routine laboratory functions such as equipment maintenance, preparation of lab materials, and support of experiments.
+ Conduct specified laboratory tests accurately, document findings meticulously, and compile data for reporting.
+ Carry out quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) duties as required.
+ Prepare chemical solutions and mixtures as needed.
Qualifications:
+ 2-5 years of relevant experience in administrative and laboratory support roles.
+ Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
+ Familiarity with SAP or similar inventory/order processing systems.
+ Knowledge of laboratory safety procedures and protocols.
+ Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain accurate records.
