Paxiom’s Sale and Service operation is located in Las Vegas, NV, with its primary manufacturing sites in Montreal (WeighPack Systems); Miami, FL (EndFlex); and Shanghai, China (Kang-Di), Philadelphia, PA (NCC).
Packaging solutions include Vertical and Horizontal Form Fill Seal, Pre-made pouch bagging, flow wrapping, cartoning, and bag-in-box solutions. Their filling technology includes auger powder filling, weigh filling for solids, multi-point depositors, and pre-roll automation for cannabis. Additionally, they offer a number of integrated and robotic solutions for customers in the packaging space.
Job Summary:
The IT Business Partner is responsible for ensuring all IT equipment is working, managing the IT budget and supporting business applications. You will be part of the Paxiom IT group, supporting that group of companies. Work breakdown is solving support issues, working on IT projects and managing IT spend.
Job Responsibilities
This role encompasses a variety of responsibilities, including but not limited to the following:
+ The Information Technology Business Analyst is responsible for being the voice of the business for the greater IT team. This team member will work on all aspects of end-user device management, including technology selection and purchase, configuration, upgrades, and Tier 2 (Service Desk) support. Examples are:
+ Perform on-site technical support, including desktop and vendor-level support.
+ Install, fix, debug, and maintain desktop technologies (including handheld devices).
+ Complete work orders such as telephone and computer install, moves, adds and changes.
+ Update and maintain all IT asset inventory records, such as desktop, printer, network.
+ Capture performance metrics and ensure continuous improvements are made to lower mean time to repair.
+ Create and manage escalation procedures and ensure service levels are maintained.
+ Document, track, and monitor technical issues to ensure resolution in a timely manner.
+ Ensure that appropriate expertise and infrastructure are developed and implemented to support the responsibilities of the IT division group.
+ Manage, communicate, and implement strategic plans for telecommunications, messaging, client support, system administration and IT operations.
+ Provide input into the annual IT budget.
+ Ensure that relevant operational, product and service standards and procedures are developed, communicated, and adhered to.
+ Ensure the proper incorporation, use and management of external service providers.
+ Maintain a high level of personal knowledge and awareness of information technology trends and emerging technologies.
+ Provide for the continuous evaluation and introduction of new services and products in compliance with corporate standards.
+ Ensure communication, awareness, and integration with all other ATS groups and initiatives.
+ Ensure that common policies, procedures, and operational standards are implemented throughout the division.
+ Maintain awareness of and coordination with the corporation’s strategic plans and projects.
+ Establish, monitor, and achieve agreed service level objectives.
+ Provide liaison with external ATS divisions and operations regarding information, networking, and communications systems.
+ Assist in the development of standards for computer hardware, networking, and software.
+ Partner with business-on-business projects.
+ Ensure that all business activities are performed with the highest ethical standards and in compliance with the ATS Code of Business Conduct.
+ Implement new software or hardware platforms or systems as business requirements change.
+ Oversee printing licenses and manage company individual computers through approval processes.
+ Maintain minimal impact for ticket lead times – efficient reporting and closure.
+ To manage activity or program directly is required.
+ Other duties as assigned.
+ Recommend and implement continuous improvement initiatives that support improved services to lower total cost of ownership (TCO).
+ Participates in ABM initiatives and activities.
Job Requirements
Education:
+ A post-secondary degree or diploma in computer science, business intelligence or equivalent.
Experience and Skills:
+ 2-3+ years of related Service Desk, Desktop Support or End User Services related experience
+ Strong knowledge of and experience with ITIL IT Service Management processes specific to working within Incident, Problem, Change, SLM, and Service Desk competencies using ticketing systems such as Jira, Salesforce, etc.
+ Troubleshooting skills for both PC hardware (memory, CPU, power supply, graphics) and software (Active Directory, Office applications, Exchange/Email); virtual desktop infrastructure.
+ Expert knowledge and experience with supporting the latest Windows desktop operating systems.
+ Knowledge of Microsoft SCCM/Endpoint Manager or similar technologies.
+ Knowledge of iOS and iPhone as well as MDM platforms like InTune would be an asset.
+ Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 technologies and administration.
+ General network communications knowledge with switches, routers, TCP/IP, wireless, DNS/DHCP.
+ Experience with printing and audio/video systems would be an asset.
+ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with ability to interact confidently at multiple organizational levels.
