Purpose: The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all warehouse operations, ensuring efficient and effective storage, distribution, and inventory management. This role involves leading a team, optimizing processes, and maintaining a safe and productive environment Responsibilities: Supervise, coach, train and develop the stockroom team to deliver the highest quality service to Manufacturing Operations while maintaining inventory accuracy. Support proper allocation of resources among operations and project activities. Safeguard the business unit’s investment in inventory and protect against inventory obsolescence. Maintains Inventory Cycle Count accuracy >99.5% Develop and implement key policies related to material receiving, storing, issuing, and replenishment, to meet the objectives of the company. Drive process improvements to keep pace with growing material volume while balancing stockroom space constraints, manage the relationship with local 3PL warehouse/logistics support. Coordinate and oversee the stockroom’s picking, kitting, cycle counting, location auditing and inventory control policies & procedures to maintain accuracy and assure compliance with audit requirements. Prepare and implement departmental budget, monitors expenses and approves purchases of supplies and equipment. Determine value added activities to create solutions that improve processes and methods to support assembly. Together with RCI (Relentless Continuous Improvement) manager define measurable targets for continuous improvement of processes and define strategies to attain desired goals. Responsible for training, communication, and implementation of processes in the organization. Plan, organize, prepare, and conduct training as required for process improvement initiatives throughout the organization. Dedication to quality and continuous improvement Follow Safety, Health, Environment, and Hazardous Waste Rules and Responsibilities. Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the company’s discretion. Develop and run daily SQDC (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost) board for daily management. Coordinate with Production manager timely delivery of required parts. Coordinate with external warehouses and 3PL on daily and strategic parts transfers. Forklift certified, able to pass, and maintain crane certification. Great inter-departmental skills. Multitasking a must. Requirements: Knowledge and Skills: High school diploma required, BA or BS in business administration, technology, science, operations or related field highly preferred. A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a heavy manufacturing environment, preferably capital mobile equipment, Managing Internal Material Flows, Inventory Control, Warehousing, Shipping, Receiving, Parts Pulling for Production etc. as well as leading Lean projects/Kaizen events, and developing / implementing industry best practices. Lean or Six Sigma experience preferred. Experience: Able to define critical project criteria to ensure project completion based on importance and need. Demonstrated leadership skills to gain the assistance of others as needed when assigning work. Experience managing warehouses with value >$20M Understanding of financial principles Individual must be self-guided, process driven and extremely good at working in a team environment. Must possess the ability to understand the impact of process flow throughout the production process (vendors, manufacturing, office etc.) while implementing the solutions to identify discrepancies. OTHER INFORMATION Supervisory Responsibility: Responsible for all Warehouse Associates Work Environment: Job will consist of 50% duties will be hands on working with the materials teams. 50% computer terminal work and classroom training activities. Physical Demands: Exposure to high noise levels and an increased awareness of congested workspaces and the exposure to potentially hazardous work environments normally associated with heavy duty manufacturing activities. May be required to occasionally climb ladders. May be required to work on machines at heights other than ground level.
