Summary You will serve as a SUPERVISORY WORK AND FAMILY LIFE SPECIALIST in the ???????FLEET AND FAMILY SUPPORT CENTER of NAVSTA GREAT LAKES IL. Responsibilities You will plan, implement, and administer Work and Family Life Programs and to provide leadership, direction, supervision, guidance, consultation, assistance, and coordination for all aspects of Work and Family Life Programs. You will serve as supervisor over a goup of work/life consultants and education services facilitators responsible for the full range of Fleet and Family Support Center career transition, relocation, family and other work/life services and activities. You will resolve especially complex and difficult types of issues referred by subordinates. You will develop and use self-assessment, community-assessment, and various measurement tools to identify trends, organizational needs, and demographic profiles. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1)Working as a work/life consultant providing career, transition, relocation, family and other work/life services and activities; 2)Facilitating educational services on work/life issues; 3) Preparing and presenting work/life program presentations to the public; 4) Interviewing and counseling clients on career, transition, relocation and other life and work choices. Education Applicants must meet the following positive education qualifications requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Applicants must possess Applicants must possess Successful completion of a bachelor's degree in behavioral or social science; or related disciplines appropriate to the position. OR Combination of education and experience that provide the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field. OR Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrate that the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral social sciences equivalents to a major in the field.
