Position Summary
The Training Specialist plays a key role in supporting the development and implementation of training programs across Pillar Care Continuum. This role will lead the facilitation of New Employee Orientation (NEO), coordinate staff development efforts, ensure regulatory compliance with state licensing requirements, and support the growth and development of our workforce.

Key Responsibilities
• Manage all aspects of New Employee Orientation (NEO), including planning, facilitation, documentation, and evaluation.
• Support training initiatives aligned with the NJ Department of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) and NJ Department of Education (DOE).
• Manage training records and compliance for Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) and school-based support staff.
• Utilize platforms such as College of Direct Support (CDS) to deliver and track online learning.
• Organize and support agency-wide training events and professional development days.
• Track and report training data, metrics, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Conduct site visits to build rapport and maintain relationships with program staff and participants.
• Stay informed on current training trends, compliance requirements, and best practices.
• Assist the Director of Training with other related projects as needed.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Education, Instructional Design, or a related field required.
• Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in training design, facilitation, and evaluation, preferably within public health or human services.
• Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), including those with behavioral challenges.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing needs.
• Valid NJ driver’s license.
• Willingness to travel to Pillar Care program sites as needed.
• Ability to demonstrate proficiency in all required training components.
