Position: Abuse in Later Life (ALL) Project Coordinator| Full-time | Benefits Eligible | 35 hours per week
FLSA status: Non Exempt
Hours: M- F, 8:30am - 4:30pm, evenings and weekend as necessary
Department/Location: Riverhead, Hauppauge and/or East Hampton Offices. Other Suffolk County locations as needed for programming
Salary: $60,000 to $68,000 depending on experience
PURPOSE:
Responsible for coordinating, teaching and implementing The Retreat's Abuse in Later Life (ALL) OVW program. This position is funded at 100% for this program, and works some evening weekday hours and assists at occasional weekend events for approximately 35 hours per week. This position will work primarily out of the Riverhead office with hybrid days, and travel between locations across Suffolk County to implement the OVW approved ALL training.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Work directly with all subgrantees/committed partners and cross-trainee organizations (including those that have signed Letters of Commitment to receive training) regarding training schedules.
+ Perform program planning, coordination, operation and service delivery across Suffolk County.
+ Ensure compliance with program requirements and will serve as the central point of contact for all program activities.
+ Attend OVW required trainings.
+ Coordinate required OVW training information with all subgrantees on the project.
+ Ensure consistent relationship with the subgrantees and adherence to grant guidelines.
+ Promote and implement the Strategic Plan with the Coordinated Community Response (CCR) members.
+ Spearhead the initial planning activities in the first 12-18 months of award (securing OVW approval to move into the implementation phase.
+ Identify and recruit additional CCR team members and community partners.
+ Facilitate CCR meetings in accordance with project deliverables and program implementation.
+ Participate in trainings, team, staff and other meetings.
+ Maintain records of all activities completed.
+ Prepare monthly/quarterly/annual program reports.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:
+ Reports to: Director of Prevention
+ Supervises: none
QUALIFICATIONS:
+ Minimum of a Master's degree with 3-5 years of education and/or community outreach experience preferred. Social work or public health background a plus.
+ Must be able to carry and set up tables and boxes of materials for special events.
+ Excellent oral and written communication skills.
+ Comfort and ability to provide education through group workshops and one-on-one meetings.
+ Comfort working with community partners and addressing topics of Elder Abuse and Care.
+ Ability to maintain a trauma-informed and caring approach to connecting with Coordinated Community Response participants.
+ Understanding of sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence and/or stalking; with willingness to continue building knowledge in the field.
+ Ability to utilize social media for outreach and communication purposes.
+ Ability to work nights periodically and weekends, as needed.
+ Valid driver's license required with reliable transportation.
+ Fingerprint clearance required.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
+ Sits, stands, stoops, squats, walks, and moves intermittently during work hours
+ May lift, push, or pull 10-25 pounds occasionally.
