Harborview Medical Center Environmental Services** has an outstanding opportunity for a **Hospital Custodian Supervisor.** **WORK SCHEDULE
+ 100% FTE (40 hours per week)
+ Day Shift **POSITION HIGHLIGHTS**
+ Supervise a staff of 25 or more custodians and one Custodial Supervisor
+ Train subordinates and performs administrative responsibilities such as recommending supply levels, staffing levels, staff training requirements, and department policies and procedures
+ Be a part of a team dedicated to supporting UW Medicine where Patients Are First **PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Under general direction, serve as a second-line supervisor in a custodial department
+ With delegated authority, interview and recommend selection of applicants, conduct training, assign and schedule work, act upon leave requests, conduct annual performance evaluations and recommend disciplinary action
+ Determines staffing needs of assigned building; analyze workloads and assign work to employees
+ Train new staff that have been hired into Housekeeping and Linen departments
+ Will supervise the First Shift (Day Shift) staff in the Trauma Emergency Room, making sure all areas are cleaned according to policy
+ Inspect buildings to determine cleaning needs and job assignments. Monitor hand hygiene compliance, retrain as needed and report findings to Operation Manager
+ Prepare reports related to custodial services, such as equipment inventories and custodial procedures **REQUIREMENTS**
+ Three years of experience in custodial or general maintenance work
+ Two years of experience as a Custodian Supervisor 1
