    We are seeking to fill a total of 2 positions.

     

    General Purpose

     

    As the Wildfire Mitigation Program (WMP) Manager is responsible for development, coordination and delivery of Wildfire Mitigation Plans. Responsible for efficient delivery and tracking of wildfire mitigation plan filings, project/program development and management, and plan adherence. Support development, approval, tracking, and reporting on cross-functional work to achieve strategic objectives within the integrated WMP strategy.

    Responsibilities

    + Develop and formalize strategic objectives for wildfire mitigation. Create and execute detailed wildfire mitigation plans for assigned states.

    + Ensure WMPs meet all regulatory requirements while clearly communicating PacifiCorp’s strategy, progress, and commitment to wildfire risk reduction.

    + Interface with leadership on regular basis to communicate progress, gain approval on business proposals and obtain strategic decisions.

    + Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure WMPs have accurate and complete information to support approval.

    + Develop project and program delivery plans and new processes as needed, including definition of roles/responsibilities, milestones, and execution strategy.

    + Ensure wildfire mitigation investments are prudent, effective, and aligned with regulatory expectations.

    + Monitor evolving state and federal wildfire-related regulations and proactively adjust strategies to maintain compliance.

    + Build and maintain strong relationships with state commissions, regulatory staff, community leaders, and other stakeholders.

    + Coordinate across program and project teams to track, record, and report on progress toward company strategic objectives.

    + Support regulatory activities by writing testimony, responding to data requests, meeting with regulators and other utilities, and providing content for regulatory presentations.

    + Facilitate annual or quarterly external audits as request by state specific or federal regulators.

    + Represent PacifiCorp in public forums, workshops, and webinars.

    + Establish metrics and monitoring systems to evaluate the effectiveness of mitigation strategies and make data-driven adjustments as needed.

    + Identify and pursue opportunities for collaboration that support cost recovery and enhance public trust.

    + Ensure that mitigation strategies are defensible and well-documented to reduce the risk disallowance of costs or denial of plans.

    + Plan and manage the work of the functional group. Lead projects and initiatives.

    Requirements

    + Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business Management, or the equivalent combination of education and experience

    + 7 years of experience in regulatory, project management or related field.

    + A minimum of 3 years demonstrated leadership or supervisory or functional management experience.

    + Proficient in project scheduling, process development, cost controls, tracking and reporting methodologies

    + Proficient in financial principles to quantify costs and benefits of projects and to track and maintain project budgets

    + Experienced in the application of Project Management Institute project management techniques or equivalent

    + Excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills

    + Ability to synthesize complex data and policy into clear, compelling narratives.

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Office, GIS tools, and data visualization platforms.

    + Demonstrated advanced business management skills including consulting skills, customer service, and business acumen

    + Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to facilitate team efforts, provide guidance and direction to team members, and communicate project objectives, parameters, status, and outcomes to stakeholders

    + Skilled in motivating and influencing others, experience in team building and conflict management

    + Familiarity with utility industry, and risk mitigation strategies.

    + Ability to analyze information, form conclusions and provide meaningful and creative solutions to non-typical business issues.

    Preferences

    + Master’s in Business Administration or advanced technical degree

    + Advanced Project Management or Program Management Certification by the Project Management Institute

    + Understanding of environmental regulations, National Environmental Protection Act, environmental impact statement, environmental assessment, State Historical Preservation Office, Army Corp of Engineers, etc.

    + Knowledge of the company’s business, policies, procedures, and practices

    + Experience in the electric utility industry and applicable federal, state and local regulations.

    + Experience with regulatory filings and stakeholder engagement in a utility or government setting.
