    Summary

    Perform tests on concrete and masonry for quality control / quality assurance, as well as provide routine maintenance for equipment used for testing.

     

    Responsibilities and Duties

     

    + Testing of samples in accordance with appropriate test standards, and documentation of results

    + Ensure that lab and field equipment receive periodic, routine calibrations, are maintained properly and always in good working condition

    + Assist Laboratory Supervisor with inspections of laboratory with accrediting body

    + Perform site visits on occasion

     

    Qualifications and Skills

     

    + A high school diploma is required. An associate degree in Civil Engineering Technology or a related field is preferred, but not mandatory

    + Experience with laboratory testing of construction materials is desirable

    + Must have the ability to comprehend test standards, practices and specifications, and use spreadsheet software to analyze data

    + Must have the ability to obtain industry certifications with full support from CME

    + Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license

    + Must be able to lift 50+ pounds regularly

     

    Compensation: $20 - 24 / hour
