Good Shepherd Fairview Home is looking for a Dietary Server Assistant to join our team!
Position Details
42 hours /biweekly pay period, 1 Day position and 2 Evening Positions Available
Full Time Benefits

Position Summary
A Dietary Server Assistant's primary responsibility is to support servers in providing excellent resident service and maintaining a smooth dining experience. This includes tasks like preparing the dining area, assisting with food and beverage service, clearing tables, and ensuring the overall cleanliness of the serving kitchen and dining areas. They act as a crucial part of the service team, helping servers handle daily serving tasks.
+ Preparing the dining area: Setting tables, stocking supplies like floor stock, silverware and napkins, and ensuring a clean and organized environment.
+ Assisting with food and beverage service: Delivering food and drinks to tables, refilling water glasses, and assisting with taking orders (in some cases).
+ Clearing tables: Removing used plates, glasses, and silverware from tables after guests have finished their meals.
+ Maintaining cleanliness: Wiping down tables, sweeping floors, and ensuring the overall cleanliness of the dining area.
+ Supporting temperature compliance: Checking recorded temperatures to include freezers, refrigerators, juice machines
+ Supporting servers: Assisting with various tasks to help servers provide efficient and timely service to guests.
+ Providing excellent customer service: Greeting guests, answering questions, and ensuring a positive dining experience.
+ Server Fill-In: Server Assistant will assume the role of server as necessitated by call offs or shortages. This will be at the discretion of the Director or Supervisor on duty.
Primary Physical Requirements
Lift up to 50lbs: Occasionally; Up to 25lbs: Constantly
Carry up to 25lbs: Frequently; Up to 10lbs: Constantly
Reach at, below, or above shoulder height; Push, Pull: Constantly
Essential Job Requirements
Education: High School diploma or GED preferred
Qualifications: Must be 18 years of age. Ability to read, write and speak the English language
