Caterpillar's Electrification and Energy Solutions Division (E+ES) leads the company’s efforts to deliver advanced electrified powertrain and zero exhaust emission products and technologies, and the solutions and services associated with these products and technologies.  E+ES collaborates with other Caterpillar divisions to define product architectures that accommodate multiple power sources and drivetrains and to identify Caterpillar’s role in the future value chain including new services growth opportunities.

To support this exciting work, we’re looking for a creative and passionate Senior Communications Consultant to join our fun and collaborative team. The E+ES communications team plays a powerful role in connecting teams and efforts across the organization. As a trusted business partner, you’ll work closely with senior leaders and business partners to drive our strategic priorities and culture through actionable communications plans. You’ll also lead and collaborate with global, cross-functional teams that make an important impact to the business.

What You’ll Do:

+ Develop and execute actionable communication strategies to drive collaboration, understanding and excitement in our power systems solutions

+ Inspire senior leaders and business partners to embrace effective communication solutions including storytelling, leaders as communicators and change management

+ Prepare executive internal and external presentations, speeches, and other materials

+ Partner with Human Resources to build and manage strategies that develop leaders, prioritize inclusion, and instill deep understanding of the business

+ Collaborate with the communications team to uphold a proactive editorial strategy, bringing stories to life through leader, written, visual and verbal communications

What You Will Have:

+ **Education/Experience:** Bachelor’s degree in Communications or Marketing or equivalent experience

+ **Copywriting and Editing:** Knowledge of copywriting and editing; ability to write, review and edit texts and documents to promote marketing; recognized content creation skills (written, visual, verbal). Familiarity with Microsoft 365 apps, graphic design software and video-editing tools

+ **Interpersonal Relationships:** Strong interpersonal and influence skills; ability to collaborate and work with leaders and business partners

+ **Internal Communications:** Knowledge of techniques and media for internal communications; ability to produce and distribute news, newsletters and other communications materials targeted at the employees

+ **Planning and Organizing:** Knowledge of the process of planning and arranging tasks and resources; ability to plan and organize both time and resources to get things completed while structuring and maintaining work in a systematic and highly methodical way

+ **Effectiveness Measurement:** Knowledge of effective measurement techniques and ability to measure the quality and quantity of work effort for the purpose of improvement

+ **Establishing and Maintaining Trust:** Knowledge of developing and maintaining trust; ability to develop trusting relationships and provide solicited, respected and valued perspectives to clients/peers that guide thinking, facilitate issue resolution and enhance client/peer capabilities

+ **Communicating for Impact:** Knowledge of the concepts, tools and techniques for effective listening and communicating; ability to apply these theories to receive, transmit and accurately interpret information and ideas to influence others in various situations. Desire for continuous improvement, find new and creative ways to reach key audiences

**Additional Info** :

+ The primary location for this position is Irving, TX. **This position requires the candidate to work a 5-day-a-week schedule in the office**

Summary Pay Range:

$110,520.00 - $165,840.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
