    Work for the Smart Safety Company

     

    As a Welder you are responsible for welding together the aluminum extrusions for ladder racking units and delivery vehicle shelving units. Additionally, you will have in-depth knowledge of welding machinery including robotic welders, and various weldments. May perform other duties as assigned.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    + Ability to read, understand, and interpret blueprints and standard work instructions (SWI's).

    + Ability to read and use a tape measure and caliper readings.

    + Use a variety of other powered hand tools, stapler, rivets gun(s), drills, etc.

    + Inspect and test, parts and products, as necessary, during or after welding for quality standards.

    + Maintain a clean and organized work area, maintain all equipment according to maintenance plans.

    + Ability to cross train to other departments as needed.

    Education, Experience and Qualifications:

    + High School Diploma/Equivalent

    + 6 months of hands-on experience in a manufacturing facility as a welder.

    + Ability to work overtime and weekends, as needed.

    + Ability to pass pre-employment weld test

    + Reliable and dependable attendance.

    + Ability to communicate verbally and in written form with supervisors and co-workers

    + Mechanical aptitude preferred.

    + Safety First attitude.

    + Physical requirements include frequent reaching, gripping and carrying up to 50 lbs., plus frequent standing, stooping, bending, squatting, and walking.

    Schedule:

    + First Shift - Monday-Friday 6:00AM-2:00PM

    + $22 - $24/hour
