    The Commodities NAM Origination Vice President is an intermediate level position responsible for client engagement, credit structuring, and deal execution in coordination with the Origination Power Sales and Trading teams. Excellent analytical and communication skills required in order to successfully interact with key internal and external stakeholders. Provides advanced judgment and conducts in-depth quantitative or qualitative analysis to solve problems and develop new, innovative solutions. Required to think beyond existing solutions, assumptions or current knowledge of sophisticated areas.

    Responsibilities:

    + Assist in the execution of Citi’s Commodities NAM Origination business activities

    + Leverage past banking or related experience to increase and improve deal flow and client engagement

    + Take a lead role in fostering an environment of collaboration through interfacing with appropriate internal partners to enhance share of mind with clients, increase dialogue and to deliver on expertise

    + Understand and analyze clients’ businesses and exposures to provide best suited sales solutions in full coordination with all relevant business partners

    + Collaborate with internal credit teams on credit reviews including assessment of portfolio risk, liquidity of client positions, credit limits and risk appetite ratios

    + Present deals internally to Credit Underwriting and propose recommendations/credit decisions, including risk ratings and regulatory classifications

    + Conduct in-depth analyses of financial data and other information provided by clients

    + Conduct projection modeling, stress testing and other analyses using research and evaluations from a wide variety of sources

    + Assess deal strengths, weaknesses and risk factors. Partner with businesses and quantitative teams on risk measurement enhancements, margin model development, new product approvals and real-time monitoring and controls

    + Manage daily negotiations with power private equity financing structures, intercreditor arrangements, and credit evaluation of levered project companies.

    + Oversee ISDA negotiations with traditional and lien-backed credit counterparties.

    Qualifications:

    + 8+ years in US Power sales, origination or structured products, including existing client relationships

    + Strong understanding and expertise of physical power flows in the US

    + Experience in evaluating project finance transactions and structures

    + Experience creating financial analyses and debt models

    + Demonstrated problem solving and organizational skills

    + Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills

    + Experience assisting with client development

    + Ability to work with teams and track business development (collect research, analyze industry trends)

    + Applicants should be recent graduates, preferably with an academic specialization in a quantitative or technical discipline such as Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or Economics

    + Modeling and structuring of exotic products including option valuations, load modeling, weather derivatives, etc.

    + Prior commodities experience at a bank or similar financially sponsored market participant preferred.
