As a Senior Engineer, you’ll leverage digital technologies and automation to optimize the manufacturing lifecycle from design to delivery. Collaborating with engineers and scientists, you will create models and simulations to analyze complex systems and drive data-driven decisions for process optimization. Your role includes designing and optimizing production lines, supporting factories in identifying bottlenecks, and implementing strategies to enhance efficiency and productivity. By staying abreast of digital transformation trends, come prepared to propose innovative projects and deliver effective solutions to streamline operations, empowering colleagues with tools and insights to accelerate innovation.
• Develop robust data systems by designing and implementing pipelines to efficiently collect, process, and store data from multiple factory sources
• Integrate and analyze data by synthesizing complex datasets to create models and simulations that provide actionable insights into system performance, driving informed decisions for optimization and automation
• Collaborate with colleagues to gather requirements and develop prototypes
• Optimize production lines by designing and establishing digital and automation standards and ensure successful deployment across factories
• Enhance factory operations through thorough system assessments to identify bottlenecks and develop strategic solutions that improve efficiency, productivity, and quality
• Drive digital innovation by engaging with the digital community to explore emerging technologies and propose innovative projects that integrate various components into effective, scalable systems
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Industrial & Systems Engineering or Digital & Automation related field
• 4+ years of experience in engineering, research & development, or manufacturing environment
• 1+ year of experience in digital platforms, including Cloud, IIoT, and analytics/predictive technologies, with a focus on the Microsoft Technology Stack
• 1+ years of experience displaying proficiency in programming languages such as Python and SQL, along with expertise in data modeling, data warehousing, and data visualization
Other
• Experience in automation platforms such as Rockwell and AVEVA, and knowledge of engineering software and manufacturing operation systems is preferred
• Experience with discrete event simulation and virtual commissioning, as well as systems engineering principles is preferred
• Familiarity with simulation modeling tools like Flexsim, Technomatix, Anylogic, or Emulate3D is preferred
• Ability to travel up 30%
The approximate pay range for this position is $100,000 to $132,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
