    We’re looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive team player to support the execution of visual merchandising and facilities initiatives. As the Visual Merchandising Materials Coordinator in our Distribution Center, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring fixtures, graphics, and supplies are prepared, tracked, and delivered efficiently to support impactful in-store experiences.

     

    This is an exciting opportunity to partner closely with Merchandising, Facilities, and Store teams, supporting project execution, organizing inventory, and helping us continuously improve how we move and manage assets.

     

    Please Note: This position is an on-site position at our Distribution Center in Oakley, CA. Candidates who are remote or outside of reasonable commuting distance will not be considered.

    Responsibilities:

    + Fulfill fixture and graphics orders for Visual Merchandising and supply and equipment orders for facilities services.

    + Prepare and bundle fixtures, graphics, and supplies to distribute to stores

    + Receive in Facilities' asset orders, verifying items and quantity are accurate

    + Manage all fixture inventory, update and maintain accurate counts of materials

    + Organize all Facilities’ assets such as fixtures, graphics, and supplies

    + Ensure all assets are properly stored, labeled and maintained in working order

    + Use inventory and fulfillment software to track and manage facilities assets

    + Communicate status updates, inventory needs, and issues to Visual Merchandising and/or Facilities manager

    + Regularly clean and organize all assigned Facilities area

    + Coordinate cross-functionally with the Merchandising team and other teams to gather, compile, maintain, and track required product information

    + Gather, organize, create, and share assets for product launches and asset requests on behalf of the Marketing team

    + Take proactive initiative for store and DC needs.

    + Provide support on Visual Merchandising projects and events as assigned

    + Support in picking, janitorial, or other areas of the DC as assigned

    Qualifications:

    + Experience in Retail or Distribution Centers is required.

    + 1+ years of data entry and/or administrative experience preferred

    + Clear, concise, and professional verbal and written communication skills

    + Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through

    + Effective relationship and teambuilding skills; able to establish and maintain cooperative, mutually respectful working relationships

    + Strong interpersonal skills and sound judgment to work autonomously; able to anticipate and balance the needs and input of multiple stakeholders and make informed decisions and with tact and professionalism

    + Able to remain calm and focused pressure situations, operate with a sense of urgency and escalate issues beyond your experience

    + Able to effectively cope with change, shift gears and comfortably handle uncertainty

    + Ongoing commitment to continuous learning and development; Asks for and uses feedback to improve performance, seeks and acquires new skills to improve effectiveness

    + Demonstrates creativity and innovative thinking when solving problems; generates new ideas and approaches to efficiently and effectively get the job done

    + Proactive Team Player, able to work independently with minimal guidance and as part of a team

    + Experience managing competing demands through project management and prioritization skills

    + Ability to stand and walk for long periods

    + Must be able to reach, lift, stoop, bend and lift up to 50lbs

    + Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, email and business communication applications (Teams, Slack, Zoom)

    The salary range for this position is expected to be $22/hr - $26/hr. Pet Food Express determines starting salary based on many factors, including but not limited to, local market rate, the qualified pool of candidates, internal compensation practices, a candidate’s actual skills and experience.
