Software Engineer II – Full Stack Developer (Angular & Node.js)

About the role, we are looking for a highly motivated Software Engineer II (SE 2) with strong expertise in F ull stack development using Angular and Node.js . Please do not apply without that expertise. You will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-grade web applications. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, UX designers, and QA engineers, to deliver robust, scalable, and high-performing software solutions.

About the team, this diverse team of Software Engineers is building an AI driven applications using vector databases, AI services, and ETL data pipelines, and other modern frameworks.

LexisNexis® Risk Solutions provides customers with innovative technologies, information-based analytics, decision-making tools and data management services that help them solve problems, make better decisions, stay compliant, reduce risk and improve operations.

Required Qualifications:

+ Possess current experience in full stack development, with a strong focus on Angular and Node.js. Please do not apply without those skills

+ Solid understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript , HTML5, CSS3, and modern frontend development practices.

+ Proficiency in Angular (latest versions) , including components, services, RxJS , and state management (e.g., NgRx or Signals).

+ Hands-on experience with Node.js frameworks (e. g., Express, NestJS ).

+ Familiarity with REST APIs , and microservices architecture.

+ Experience working with relational (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and/or NoSQL (MongoDB) databases.

+ Knowledge of version control systems like Git and branching strategies (e.g., GitFlow ).

+ Experience with unit testing (Jasmine/Karma, Jest, Mocha) and end-to-end testing (Protractor, Cypress).

+ Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).

Key Responsibilities:

+ Design ing , developing, testing, and deploying full stack web applications using Angular (frontend) and Node.js (backend) .

+ Implement ing RESTful APIs and integrate them with the frontend for seamless user experiences.

+ Work ing with databases (SQL/NoSQL) to design and optimize schema and queries.

+ Integrat ing ArcGIS ESRI maps and analytical, timeline widgets.

+ Ensur ing the application is secure, performant, and scalable , following best practices.

+ Collaborat ing with the UX/UI team to create intuitive and responsive web interfaces.

+ Writ ing clean, maintainable, and well-documented code with unit tests and integration tests .

+ Participat ing in code reviews, design discussions , and contribute to improving development processes.

+ Debugging and resolv ing application issues in a timely manner .

+ Contribut ing to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps processes for automated builds and deployments.
