Job Description

A large telecommunications company in St. Louis, MO is seeking a Full Stack Developer to join its Automated Continuous Validation & Testing team. This contract role, with ongoing extensions, requires onsite presence four days a week and flexibility to collaborate with offshore developers. The team consists of seven developers, including one architect, three onshore, and three offshore members. The developer will work on a proprietary internal application that accelerates testing processes and supports the Advanced Engineering organization. During the first 90 days, the new hire will shadow a team member to learn the systems and application architecture, gradually transitioning to independent development. The role involves 70% front-end development using React and 30% back-end work with Node.js, with responsibilities including designing, testing, and documenting new features, integrating cable device automation, building dynamic forms and views, and exploring AI-driven enhancements to improve user experience. Operating in an Agile environment, the position is highly hands-on, with 8090% of the time spent coding and conducting code reviews, making it ideal for someone passionate about building robust, user-centric applications.

Pay Range: $45-53 / hr

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Skills and Requirements

5+ years professional full stack software development experience

5+ years professional front-end development experience with React

5+ years experience with NodeJS or Python in a back-end framework (Express, Hapi, Flask, Django or related preferred)

Experience working in a Linux based environment AWS cloud development experience

Proficiency at querying SQL and NoSQL databases and ability to build and maintain processes to retrieve and integrate data from various sources

Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, etc.)

CI / CD experience and knowledge null
