Job Description

This individual will be working at the Optum Lab site in Yucaipa, which opens in July. Ideally, we would like to bring this person on board before then for training prior to going on site.

This person will be directly involved with patients and performing blood draws. Patients will leave their appointments and come straight to the lab for bloodwork. There will be a high volume of walk-ins, and the lab can sometimes get backed up, so this person needs to be comfortable in a busy environment and handling a heavy patient load. There can be days with up to 15 people waiting in the waiting room at the same time. This person will be seeing at least 20 patients per day.

Skills and Requirements

Medical Assistant Diploma or Medical Assistant Certification

Phlebotomy license or certification

At least 6 months of hands-on phlebotomy experience

Basic Life Support Certificate from American Heart Association

High School diploma or GED Experience with Epic EMR system

Bilingual Spanish null
