Description
Summary:
The Automation and Drives Specialist is responsible for providing technical expertise, sales support, and application solutions for automation, motor control, and drive systems. This role involves working with customers, sales teams, and manufacturers to specify, troubleshoot, and optimize automation and drive products for industrial applications.
Reports to: PC Manager
Minimum Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or related field (or equivalent experience)
+ Experience with industrial automation, VFDs, PLC programming, and motor control systems
+ Familiarity with industry standards and safety regulations related to automation and drives
ADDITIONAL COMPETENCIES:
+ Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot automation and drive-related issues
+ Excellent communication and customer service skills

Hybrid travel, remote, and in office

Essential Job Functions:
Key Responsibilities:
+ Provide technical support and application guidance for variable frequency drives (VFDs), PLCs, motor controls, and automation systems.
+ Assist sales teams and customers in selecting the right automation and drive solutions to meet application requirements.
+ Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with drive and automation systems, providing solutions and recommendations.
+ Conduct product demonstrations and training sessions for internal teams and customers.
+ Stay up to date with industry trends, new products, and advancements in automation and drive technologies.
+ Collaborate with vendors and manufacturers to develop customized solutions for customers.
+ Support project implementation and integration of automation systems with existing infrastructure.

Compensation Range:
The compensation range for this position is $30000 to $70000 annually.
