Description

The Subsurface Business Development specialist role in the Energy and Oil and Gas sector involves driving growth and fostering business opportunities for the organization's subsurface solutions and services within the targeted industry. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of subsurface workloads, technologies and applications in the Energy and Oil and Gas domain, as well as a strong ability to identify with and engage potential clients and key stakeholders. The primary focus will be on developing and executing strategies to expand the company's subsurface business and establish strong business relationships with energy companies and oil and gas corporations.

Key job responsibilities

Market Research and Analysis:

• Conduct thorough research and analysis of the Energy and Oil and Gas industry to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities for HPC adoption.

• Monitor and stay updated on competitor activities, pricing strategies, and industry developments.

Business Strategy Development:

• Develop and execute a comprehensive business development plan focused on the Energy and Oil and Gas sector.

• Identify target clients, industry segments, and potential strategic partnerships to expand the company's presence in the market.

Client Engagement and Relationship Building:

• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing clients in the energy and oil and gas sector.

• Prospect and engage with new clients to understand their subsurface needs and align the company's offerings to meet those requirements.

Solution Presentation and Sales:

• Collaborate with the technical team to create compelling presentations and proposals tailored to address the specific needs of energy and oil and gas clients.

• Lead discussions and presentations with key decision-makers to showcase the value of the company's subsurface solutions and services.

Project Management:

• Work closely with internal teams to ensure successful implementation and delivery of subsurface solutions for energy and oil and gas clients.

• Oversee the project lifecycle, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

Basic Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree

- Bachelor's degree in technical field or equivalent experience

- 7+ years of experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level with large energy organizations

- 7+ years of experience interpreting data and making business recommendations within HPC applications in the energy domain

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with technology transformation initiatives

- Industry Certifications: Relevant certifications in subsurface engineering domains or project management would be advantageous.
