Description We are looking for an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join our team in Los Angeles, California. This long-term contract position offers an exciting opportunity to support attorneys in a busy insurance defense firm specializing in auto, premises liability, and complex tort matters. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in discovery, litigation support, and case management while working collaboratively within a dynamic legal environment.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and respond to discovery requests, including coordinating with clients to gather necessary information.

• Draft legal documents, including shells for pleadings and motions, to support attorneys in litigation processes.

• Manage case files and provide organizational support for a pool of attorneys, assisting across a variety of cases.

• Conduct legal research and compile findings to assist attorneys in preparing for hearings and trials.

• Collaborate with the head paralegal and other team members to ensure efficient workflow and task completion.

• Utilize case management software, such as Time Matters, to track billable hours and maintain accurate records.

• Assist in trial preparation, including organizing exhibits, preparing trial binders, and coordinating logistics.

• Adapt to a wide range of insurance defense cases, maintaining flexibility and attention to detail.

• Support attorneys in managing deadlines and ensuring compliance with court requirements.

• Provide general administrative support, including word processing and document formatting. Requirements • Proven experience as a paralegal, with a focus on insurance defense and litigation support.

• Strong knowledge of discovery processes, including drafting and responding to requests.

• Proficiency in case management software, such as Time Matters, and standard office technology.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in handling complex case files.

• Familiarity with civil litigation procedures and trial preparation processes.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with clients and attorneys.

• Flexibility to adapt to varying case demands and work collaboratively across a pool of attorneys.
