Description

Robert Half is in search of a meticulous and proactive Billing Clerk for our client in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. In this role, you will play a key part in managing invoicing processes, ensuring compliance with contractual agreements, and addressing inquiries related to payments and billing statuses. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and technical proficiency with systems such as NetSuite and Excel. This is a short-term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Review and verify timesheets and necessary documentation for accurate invoice preparation.

• Process and validate timesheets within NetSuite to ensure billing accuracy.

• Generate invoices while confirming adherence to contractual terms and conditions.

• Track and comply with varied billing cycles and specific invoicing requirements outlined in contracts.

• Interpret and apply rules regarding allowable billing items based on contract stipulations.

• Submit finalized invoices through customer portals such as Coupa and address any client-related inquiries.

• Respond promptly to internal inquiries regarding invoice statuses and payment schedules.

• Collaborate with plant operations teams to ensure alignment with plant-related billing and job costing processes.

• Maintain effective communication and relationships across departments to support seamless billing operations.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in billing, with a focus on plant-related billing and job costing.

• Proficiency in NetSuite and intermediate-level expertise in Microsoft Excel.

• Familiarity with customer portals like Coupa for invoice submission and management.

• Exceptional organizational skills and a detail-oriented approach to handling tasks and inquiries.

• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with both internal teams and external clients.

• Ability to manage high-volume invoicing while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.

• Knowledge of contractual billing requirements and the ability to interpret and apply them.

• Experience collaborating with plant operations teams to ensure billing compliance.
