Description

Our body care products client is looking for a Copywriter to join their team hybrid in San Rafael, California, 40hr/wk, 6 months. This position ideal for someone passionate about crafting compelling narratives and strategic messaging. The role involves creating engaging content across various platforms while ensuring brand alignment and compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities:

Content Strategy & Planning

+ Collaborate closely with the Social and Education teams to develop and execute content calendars that align with brand campaigns and seasonal moments.

Product Copywriting

+ Write compelling, benefit-driven copy for product labels and ecommerce platforms across brands, ensuring clarity, consistency, and brand alignment.

Compliance & Claims

+ Partner with Quality and Regulatory teams to ensure all copy adheres to marketing claims and compliance standards. Adapt messaging strategies as needed to stay within regulatory guardrails.

Campaign Ownership

+ Lead copy development for brand campaigns, including product launches, brand storytelling, and promotional messaging.

Digital & Email Content

+ Own weekly brand email copy, homepage messaging, and social media captions—infusing each with the brand’s voice and values.

Sales Enablement

+ Write persuasive, on-brand selling materials for sales reps and field teams.

Requirements

What We’re Looking For

+ Background in wellness, beauty, or health industries with a strong grasp of consumer motivations in these spaces.

+ Campaign experience.

+ A mature, grounded writing voice—someone who can channel a calm, connected, and “zen-ish” tone without sounding salesy.

+ Comfort with "woo woo" language and the ability to translate product benefits into emotional and experiential storytelling.

+ Experience working closely with founders or C-suite executives to shape brand voice and messaging.

+ Strong understanding of brand tone, storytelling, and compliance in regulated industries.

Bonus Points

+ Experience writing for DTC wellness or beauty brands.

+ Familiarity with natural products, essential oils, or holistic health.

+ A portfolio that demonstrates both strategic thinking and soulful storytelling.
