    Description

    A reputable construction company in Solana Beach is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Payroll Specialist to support their finance and HR operations. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a deadline-driven environment and understands the nuances of payroll processing in the construction industry.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for union and non-union employees

    + Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure compliance with labor laws

    + Handle wage garnishments, deductions, and benefits administration

    + Collaborate with HR and accounting teams to resolve payroll discrepancies

    + Prepare payroll reports and assist with audits

    + Stay current on prevailing wage regulations and industry standards

    Requirements

    + 2+ years of payroll experience, preferably in construction or a related field

    + Familiarity with payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Paychex, QuickBooks)

    + Strong understanding of wage and hour laws, including prevailing wage

    + Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

    + Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines

    + Strong Excel skills and experience with time-tracking software
