Description We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager/Supervisor to join our team in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In this role, you will oversee critical accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with regulatory standards. This position also involves mentoring a team, driving process improvements, and providing analytical insights to support organizational goals.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the month-end close process, ensuring timely and precise preparation of financial statements, including profit and loss, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

• Review and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance, recommending improvements or corrections as necessary.

• Supervise account reconciliations, promptly resolving discrepancies and maintaining detailed oversight of balance sheet accounts.

• Manage the consolidation process, ensuring accurate intercompany eliminations, expense and revenue allocations, and adherence to corporate policies.

• Mentor and develop a team of accounting professionals, providing training, performance feedback, and fostering opportunities for growth.

• Identify and implement process improvements to streamline accounting operations and enhance financial reporting accuracy.

• Deliver critical financial analyses to senior management, highlighting trends, variances, and areas requiring attention.

• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, coordinate with external auditors during annual audits, and manage business licenses, resale certifications, and local sales tax filings.

• Support the integration of acquired businesses, ensuring smooth transitions and alignment with financial policies. Requirements • Proven experience in leading month-end close processes and preparing financial statements.

• Strong knowledge of general ledger management and account reconciliation.

• Familiarity with financial statement audits and compliance requirements.

• Proficiency in preparing and reviewing journal entries with attention to detail.

• Demonstrated ability to manage and mentor a team, fostering growth and development.

• Capability to identify and implement process improvements to drive efficiency.

• Excellent analytical skills to provide actionable insights to senior leadership.

• Knowledge of business licenses, certifications, and local sales tax regulations.
