    Description

    We are seeking a skilled and proactive Network Security Engineer to design, implement, and manage our organization’s network security infrastructure. This role is critical to protecting our data, systems, and users from cyber threats. You will work across teams to architect secure networks, respond to security incidents, manage firewalls and VPNs, and support compliance with security policies and industry regulations.

     

    + Design and implement secure network architectures, including segmentation, firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and access controls.

    + Evaluate and deploy secure configurations for routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices.

    + Monitor network traffic for malicious activity using SIEM, packet analysis tools, and threat intelligence feeds.

    + Respond to, contain, and investigate network-related security incidents and alerts.

    + Work with the SOC and IR teams during forensic analysis and post-incident reviews.

    + Manage firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA/Firepower) including rule tuning and change management.

    + Maintain VPN and remote access solutions (e.g., IPsec, SSL VPN, SASE).

    + Perform regular vulnerability scans and remediate network-related risks.

    + Manage network security tools and platforms (IDS/IPS, DLP, NAC, SIEM, etc.).

    + Develop scripts and automation for monitoring, reporting, and enforcing security controls.

    + Ensure network security designs align with organizational policies and compliance requirements (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, HIPAA).

    + Document network configurations, incident reports, and risk assessments.

    + Work closely with IT, OT, cloud, DevOps, and cybersecurity teams to ensure integrated security across all environments.

    + Provide security expertise for new projects, infrastructure changes, and vendor evaluations.

    Requirements

    + Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent work experience).

    + 3–7 years of experience in network security engineering or a similar technical role.

    + Hands-on experience with firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and network security monitoring tools.

    + Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, VLANs, NAT, and network routing/switching.

    + Familiarity with security frameworks (e.g., NIST CSF, CIS Controls, ISO 27001).

    + Experience with cloud networking and security (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus.
