Description We are looking for an experienced Controller to join our team in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This role is integral to providing financial leadership, ensuring operational excellence, and fostering a collaborative environment for the accounting team. The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational skills, a commitment to high performance, and a passion for driving business success.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the accounting team with a focus on performance standards, accountability, and inclusivity, serving as a trusted advisor and partner within the organization.

• Recruit, train, and develop team members to build a high-performing controllership capable of handling the evolving complexities of the business.

• Collaborate closely with National and Local Operations leadership to meet performance metrics and support business objectives.

• Oversee complex customer invoicing and cash application processes, ensuring compliance with Supplier Portal requirements.

• Manage the Accounts Receivable and Collections functions to maintain timely cash flow, monitor aging activities, and track key performance indicators.

• Ensure adherence to time-sensitive compliance requirements related to customer Supplier Portals.

• Direct the Subcontract Payment process, meeting strict deadlines with precision and efficiency.

• Coordinate with other regional locations on field accounting activities, including billing, collections, accounts payable, and reporting.

• Handle audit and reporting requirements by engaging with corporate accounting on findings, compliance, and internal controls.

• Support the development and documentation of business processes and accounting policies to enhance internal controls and provide insightful business analysis. Requirements • Proven experience in accounting or financial leadership roles, with a strong understanding of controllership responsibilities.

• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.

• Expertise in managing accounts payable and receivable functions, including collections and invoicing.

• Familiarity with Supplier Portals and compliance requirements.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with various departments and leadership teams.

• Experience with audit processes, internal controls, and compliance.

• Proficiency in documenting and improving business processes and accounting policies.
