Description

We are looking for a skilled Tax Preparer to join an efficient, energetic, and fun team. This position involves assisting individuals and businesses with accurate tax filings while providing accounting and payroll support to business clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of tax regulations and accounting principles, coupled with a dedication to delivering outstanding client service. This position provides growth and promotions over time, along with training, mentorship, and additional tasks.

Responsibilities: • Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, businesses, and organizations. • Analyze financial documents, including income statements, W-2s, and 1099 forms, to ensure accuracy. • Ensure compliance with current tax laws and regulations while optimizing tax positions. • Identify potential deductions, credits, and liabilities to maximize client benefits. • Collaborate with clients to collect necessary financial data and clarify tax-related concerns. • Stay informed about updates to tax laws, filing procedures, and deadlines. • Safeguard the confidentiality of all client financial information. • Provide support during audits and respond to inquiries from tax authorities. • Assist colleagues with tax-related tasks during peak seasons

Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in tax preparation or accounting roles.

• Proficiency in preparing and filing individual and business tax returns.

• Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax regulations.

• Familiarity with general accounting principles and payroll processes.

• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.

• Ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.

• Commitment to maintaining client confidentiality.

• Knowledge of estate planning and asset management concepts is a plus.
