Description
We are currently seeking an experienced Controller/Accounting Manager to join our client’s East Tampa office on a full-time, on-site basis for a 3-month engagement. There is potential for a conversion to full time if both parties align. This is a critical, immediate need during a time of organizational transition, and you’ll be stepping into a high-impact leadership role with a lean accounting team.
The ideal candidate will be a hands-on, fully qualified Controller with at least 5+ years of recent experience in NetSuite and a proven ability to manage financial operations in a fast-paced environment. While there may be a potential for hybrid Fridays down the line, candidates should expect to work onsite Monday through Friday for the duration of the contract.
Key Responsibilities
+ Lead and manage all aspects of the month-end and quarter-end close process in accordance with GAAP.
+ Oversee and optimize NetSuite financial modules, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable/Receivable, Fixed Assets, and Revenue Recognition.
+ Refine the chart of accounts, reporting structure, and system workflows for increased clarity and efficiency.
+ Build and maintain custom reports, dashboards, and KPIs within NetSuite for performance tracking and executive visibility.
+ Establish and enforce internal controls and accounting policies to ensure audit readiness and compliance.
+ Maintain an acute awareness of bank match data processes, general ledger accuracy, and account reconciliations.
+ Investigate and clean up legacy financial data inconsistencies to ensure system integrity and reporting accuracy.
+ Collaborate cross-functionally with department leaders to align financial results with business objectives.
+ Provide leadership and support to A/P and A/R staff, offering training and guidance on best practices and system use.
Requirements
Key Qualifications
+ 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 5 years of recent, hands-on NetSuite experience.

+ Exceptional attention to detail with strong analytical and reconciliation skills.
+ Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, transition-focused environment.
+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
