Description
Robert Half is seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled Senior Accountant to take on key financial reporting, analytics, and management responsibilities. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing complex accounting activities, preparing financial statements, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with GAAP. This role is ideal for professionals with advanced accounting expertise looking to expand their leadership and analytical capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
+ Manage and oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analyses.
+ Prepare and analyze financial statements in compliance with GAAP, providing regular updates to management.
+ Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy.
+ Manage fixed asset accounting, prepayments, and accruals while maintaining supporting documentation.
+ Oversee the work of junior accounting staff or support their training and development.
+ Collaborate with external auditors during audits, preparing schedules and answering questions about financial data.
+ Identify opportunities for process improvements and assist in implementing new accounting policies and controls.
+ Handle complex account reconciliations, including intercompany transactions and consolidations, as required.
Requirements
+ 3-5+ years of accounting experience, with a preference for experience in public accounting or corporate accounting.
+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. A master’s degree is a plus.
+ CPA or CMA designation highly preferred.
+ Advanced proficiency with accounting systems, such as SAP, NetSuite, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics. Strong Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables, macros) are required.
+ Thorough knowledge of GAAP, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to manage deadlines effectively. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
