    Description

    We are seeking a highly skilled and adaptable Operational Technology (OT) Administrator to manage, maintain, and enhance our OT infrastructure across multiple systems and departments. As a "jack of all trades," you will serve as the critical link between IT, engineering, and operations — combining technical proficiency, system integration experience, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. This role requires hands-on expertise across network administration, cybersecurity, SCADA/HMI systems, PLC support, and industrial IoT, with the flexibility to jump into diverse tasks as needed.

     

    + Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot OT systems including SCADA, HMI, DCS, and PLC networks.

    + Manage system backups, patching, and disaster recovery planning for OT environments.

    + Configure and support industrial networks (Layer 2/3 switches, firewalls, VLANs).

    + Ensure reliable connectivity between OT and IT environments, maintaining strict segmentation and security standards.

    + Implement and enforce OT cybersecurity best practices (firewalls, IDS/IPS, asset inventory, patch management).

    + Conduct vulnerability assessments and remediation in coordination with cybersecurity teams.

    + Support integration between legacy and modern control systems.

    + Work with automation, engineering, and IT teams on system upgrades and deployments.

    + Provide on-site and remote technical support to operators, technicians, and engineers.

    + Assist with commissioning and troubleshooting of OT devices and industrial instrumentation.

    + Maintain accurate and up-to-date system documentation, network diagrams, and SOPs.

    + Ensure systems comply with relevant industry regulations (e.g., NERC CIP, ISA/IEC 62443).

    + Participate in or lead OT infrastructure projects, from design to implementation.

    + Act as a cross-functional liaison between OT, IT, and operational departments.

    Requirements

    + Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Industrial Automation, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).

    + 3+ years of hands-on experience in OT systems, ICS/SCADA environments, or industrial automation.

    + Strong knowledge of industrial protocols (Modbus, OPC UA, BACnet, etc.).

    + Familiarity with Cisco, Fortinet, or similar networking technologies.

    + Understanding of cybersecurity principles specific to OT environments.

    + Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changing needs.
