Summary You will serve as a SUPERVISORY FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the LIQUIDATION/GTCC (N8421) of MILITARY SEALIFT COMMAND. This is a RE-ADVERTISEMENT of Announcement Number:ST-12758874-25-WEJ. You will analyze and recommend costs and benefits of alternative methods of financial management of organization's program and administrative operations. You will implement legal and regulatory controls over approved budgets requests. You will provide advice on effective and efficient methods for the acquisition and use of funds to support the organization's programs and activities. You will perform the work of a Supervisor 25% of the time by assigning work to subordinate employees according to their capabilities. You will provide technical and administrative oversight, advice, instructions and develop performance standards. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications To qualify for the SUPERVISORY FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST, GS-0501-12, your resume must demonstrate at least one full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience in researching and applying fiscal policies, precedents, procedures, and regulations to identify, analyze, and resolve a range of budgetary issues within the command. Experience with administrative and financial management systems and identifying, analyzing, and resolving a range of issues related to travel execution management. Experience performing as a travel administrator and reviewer for the Command's Travel Program, assist with the oversight of all travel processes including Permanent Change of Station (PCS) and Temporary Duty (TDY) utilizing DOD Joint Travel Regulations and providing technical advice and information to civilian and military staff members pertaining to travel policy, schedules, fares, claims, and procedures. Experience with interpreting federal travel regulations utilizing the Defense Travel System, as both a user and administrator. Experience utilizing supervisory/management principles, practices and procedures to lead, motivate and counsel employees when planning, distributing, coordinating, and monitoring work assignments of subordinates. Experience planning and conducting financial studies, reviews and writing concise, and detailed reports utilizing budgetary policies, procedures, regulations and financial management systems.
