    **Position:** Occupational Therapist - Hand Therapist (PRN/ Per- Diem)

    **Location:** NovaCare Havre de Grace, MD

    **Compensation:** starting at $50.00/Hr. Commensurate with experience

    NOVACARE in Havre de Grace Maryland is seeking local Hand Therapists - Occupational Therapists for our outpatient orthopedic center! Although a certified hand therapist (CHT) is preferred, we are willing to consider occupational therapists withat least two years of hand therapywith splinting and splint fabrication experience. Additional hand therapists on staff.

     

    **Schedule:** As needed, per diem hours for coverage. Our center is open as early 7A closing at 7P Monday through Friday. Steady hours may be possible as our referrals grow.

    Responsibilities

    + **Collaboration:** Supervise assistants and aides and contribute to case management.

    + **High Standard of Care:** Stay current and up to date with occupational therapy research and employ Evidence Based Practice (RCB,clinician expertise, patient perception).

    + **Personalized Treatment:** Provide comprehensive and individualized treatment, from evaluating and creating a plan of care to treatment and discharge.

    + **Relationship-Building:** Maintain positive level of interaction with centers and patients. Enhance and expand client relations with facilities and their staff.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications:

    + Graduate of an American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) -accredited school of occupational therapy

    + CPR certification

    + Valid driver’s license

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + At least two years of experience in the application of custom splinting pre and post-op orthopedic

    + Minimum two years in adult rehabilitation; hand and splinting experience preferred
